The Courtauld Institute of Art, Featured in an FT Podcast

11:05 on 13/11/07

The Courtauld Institute of Art has been featured in a 10-minute podcast for the FT’s Artscast, a weekly roundup of arts issues and events. You can listen to it here (9 Nov edition).

The Courtauld is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. The interview relates the philanthropic origins of the Courtauld, some of the iconic works of art in its gallery, and its continued relevance in today’s crowded arts world.

Dr. Deborah Swallow, the Courtauld’s director, also explains the dual role which the organisation serves, as both a centre for the study of art history and as a gallery for its students and for the general public.
